About Colston Yard
On December 18th 2007 Butcombe Brewery was proud to open Colston Yard on the site of the old Smiles 'Brewery Tap'.
Colston Yard delivers all the ambience of a country pub in a contemporary city bar. The earthy olive and warming red colours adorning the walls compliment the English oak floors and bar surface, the chocolate banquette seating and low stools give a modern feel to the pub.
There is the fabulous range of beers from Butcombe - Bitter, Gold, Blond(summer), Brunel IPA(winter) and Cold Filtered Blond, with 2 guest ales alongside. There is also Veltins, Budvar, Schneider Weiss wheat beer, an American IPA Sierra Nevada and a monthly guest import beer (currently Timmermans peach beer). Our bottle beer selection contains 31 continental and imported beers from all over the world, offering such classics as Kwak, Duvel and Chimay.
Our fantastic food is both locally sourced and freshly made. Our beef comes from Greys Organic Farm in Thornbury and our pork, lamb from Day House also in Thornbury. Local company Arhur David supplies our fruit and veg and Cornwall based Wing Fish deliver fish in the evening thats been caught in the morning! The seasonal Yard menu offers traditional pub fayre with our own twist at very reasonable prices.
