Our bottled beers
Samiclaus
One of the rarest beers in the world. It is brewed on only one day of the year - December 6th (St. Nicolas day) and fermented and matured for ten months before bottling. The vintage beer results with a whacking strength of 14% abv! Samiclaus also claims to be the strongest beer in the world.
De konnick
An outstanding copper coloured ale produced in the city of Antwerp. A spicier tasting counterpart to a British bitter and the diamond city’s only brewery. Sparkling with taste and velvety smooth.
Deus
A recent addition to the Bosteels portfolio is the extraordinary and sparkling Deus. Brewed with barley in Belgium but re-fermented in the bottle, followed by traditional ‘remuage’ and ‘degorgement’ in the champagne region of France, “Brut des Flandres”.
The beer equivalent of champagne.
Kwak
Kwak is a dark, warming drink with liquorice-like flavours, this time inspired by a coachman! Hence Kwak is served in what has to be the most unusual glass in the world, a sort of stirrup cup!
Liefmans frambozen
The classic brown ale brewery Liefmans makes this beer, matured for over a year. .
The brewery adds pressed raspberries to some of its brown ale and allows further fermentation. The finished product is deliciously smooth and dark with a delicate raspberry aroma and slightly sweet flavour. A lovely brewery making truly great beers that take years to mature before being let out of the brewery.
Liefmans kriek
Liefmans Fruit Beers are from the world renowned and classic brown ale brewery, which has the reputation of making delectable beers. Bottles are hand wrapped in tissue paper - an eye-catching, premium product. Liefmans Kriek is brewed once a year – the brewery add cherries to some of its brown ale and allows further fermentation
Leffe blonde
The most popular abbey beer
Orval
Produces only one beer in a skittle shaped bottle. Legend has it that Countess Matilda of Tuscany lost her gold ring in a local lake and pledged that if it were restored to her she would thank God by building an abbey. The ring was brought to the surface by a trout, and the abbey is there. A very dry, herby beer ideal as an aperitif. Awesome in its complexity!
Westmalle dubbel
Fruity with a red brown colour. Flavours of raisins and chocolate from the dark malts but still refreshing on the finish
Westmalle trippel
A wide variety of hops are used which give the beer a dry complex flavour. Wonderfully herby elaborate beer. Lemon like zesty flavours complements the pale colour and dense rocky head
Chimay blue cap
Chimay brews are named after the colour of the caps. Blue Cap: a dark, strong ale characterized by its full flavour and port-like aroma.
Chimay red cap
Chimay brews are named after the colour of the caps. Red Cap is the least strong, full bodied and spicy. Full copper colour with a soft palate.
Chimay white cap
Chimay brews are named after the colour of the caps. White Cap is a lighter coloured beer in the triple style. Delicate balance of bitter and fruit flavours.
Delirium tremens
A strong golden ale that may look like a lager beer but is in fact a complex pale ale. The painted bottle and the glass both have pink elephants and green crocodiles on, which is the result of drinking too many. The flippant name was deemed unacceptable by Portman Group and the name had to be changed from Delirium Tremens. A lot of warming alcohol flavours abound along with its sweet palate.
Duvel
The classic strong golden ale with a large creamy head. A subtle fruitiness and distinctive delicate taste will lead you into temptation. One of the world’s great beers, Duvel means devil in Flemish and it is certainly sinfully deceptive - light in body, pale in colour. Duvel may look like a lager, but it is in fact a top fermented beer. Serve chilled in its own glass.
Lucifer
Named after the play by Vondel - a straw coloured beer with a flowery bouquet. Rich in flavour with a hoppy finish. An excellent interpretation of the style. Dense white frothy head and smooth body make a fine drinking experience as an aperitif or digestif.
Kostritzer
The most famous black beer of all! With a 460 year history of brewing beer, Kostritzer is among Germany’s oldest brewers, producing a beer with distinctive subtle malt flavours and low hop bitterness. Now an integral part of German beer culture - “a black beer with a blonde soul”.
Fruh kolsch
A dangerously drinkable beer with an unsurpassed balance in kolsch beer of malt and soft delicate hops.
Probably the most famous place to drink kolsch is the tavern Fruh near to the cathedral in Cologne. The hoppy, dry finish is from using Hallertau and Tettnang hops.
Schneider weisse
A rich and full bodied wheat beer, tan in colour with a clove-like fruity bouquet. A uniquely satisfying experience. Schneider Weisse is an unfiltered wheat beer from Bavaria. Compared with many German Weisse beers, it is very full flavoured and spicy.
Menabrea
Italy’s oldest brewery renowned for its high quality beer made from pure water of the Alps, aged 45 days in Slovenian oak. The brewery has regularly won medals at the Chicago World Beer Championships and is one of the few remaining family breweries in Italy, now being over 150 years old. This pale lager is a well-balanced beer with a marked floral fruitiness coming through from the aromatic yeasts used in its production - aged 45 days in Slovenian oak
Cusquena
A crisp refreshing pilsener beer.
Anchor porter
Anchor use specially roasted malts, a top-fermenting yeast, and only fresh whole hops, which are added liberally. All this combines to produce a rich and intense flavor with subtle notes of chocolate, toffee, and coffee.
Dark with a thick creamy head.
Liberty ale
A massively hopped beer. Brewed originally in 1975 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Paul Revere's legendary ride from Boston.
Fritz Maytag toured The UK, and was prompted to brew a pale ale on his return. However the hops make this beer very unlike its British inspiration - it is full on hoppy with citrus and grapefruit flavours.
Anchor steam beer
A unique beer and universally recognised as a world classic.
A bronze coloured beer with a rich, malty aroma, a tartness and a spicy hop note.
The palate if full and malty with a beautiful bitter hop aroma.
Goose island India pale ale
India Pale Ale - The hop-lover’s classic ale. Their IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.
Goose island honkers ale
Honkers Ale - Their flagship pale ale. Named one of the best beers in Chicago, Honker’s Ale combines a spicy hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create an exceptionally balanced American Pale Ale. Craft brewed in small batches with pure filtered water, Midwest malt, the best hops and their own special yeast, Honker’s Ale brings a fine English-style brew to you
Sierra Nevada pale ale
It has a deep amber colour and an exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. Generous quantities of premium Cascade hops give the Pale Ale its fragrant bouquet and spicy flavour.
